Marina Management Software Built for Operations
SlipSlate is marina management software for independent marinas in the US and Canada. It shows who is in which slip on which dates, checks that each boat fits, runs seasonal renewals and records meter readings. Flat pricing starts at $179 a month on a 2-year term, with no percentage of rent. Start from your current spreadsheet with the importer, which shows a preview and lets you undo the run.
What it costs
| Plan | Slips | Monthly | Annual billing | 2-year term |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Harbor | Up to 75 slips | $239/month | $199/month | $179/month |
| Marina | 76–250 slips | $359/month | $299/month | $269/month |
| Port | 251–600 slips | $599/month | $499/month | $449/month |
Prices are in US dollars, a flat subscription by capacity. SlipSlate never takes a percentage of rent. Standard migration is included.
Interactive Visual Map & Calendar
Upload your layout yourself, or have us build it. It features date-aware occupancy and a slip-by-date calendar, preventing double-bookings even when multiple staff members edit at once. Zoom and pan, run several docks on one map, and use the space menu on the map.
Note: This is an operational diagram, not a survey or navigation chart.

Hard-fit Rules
Automatic vessel length, beam, and draft checks against slip limits. Unknown dimensions trigger warnings. Overrides require explicit permission and a recorded reason. Length, beam and draft checked before a boat is assigned, not after it arrives.
Seasonal Agreements & Renewals
Keep a register of all agreements with expiry tracking and a dedicated renewal queue. Set entitlements by pool or class, with an at-once limit. Record approved vessels and dated agreed prices, and review each agreement against what is on the dock. Renew a whole season in one pass: review every renewal first, adjust any price, send customers their new dates and rates, and undo the run if you need to. Link signed documents directly to the customer's profile so they are always at hand. See agreement review and the waitlist.

Meter Readings
Record power and water readings, with units and a multiplier for each meter. Flags for decreases, resets, or replacements are held out of usage until a manager accepts them, and open problems wait in an exceptions queue. Dock staff follow an ordered route and attach a photo to each reading. We record readings, flag problems and export usage by account and date. Utility billing depends on local rules.
Invoices & Tax Reports
Invoices with configurable tax components and treatments, credit notes, and statements. Reports for your accountant.
Optional Payments
Payments are optional and off by default. If you turn them on, they run on your own Stripe account. We never store card or bank numbers. Stripe fees apply and are shown per payment.
Exceptions Queue
One queue for everything that needs attention, with severity, live map markers on spaces, and a daily snapshot.
Dock Walk in Your Own Chat
Walk the route, speak or photograph a reading, and check the vessel in its slip. Read-back before every save. You confirm every reading before it is saved. Works with Claude and Gemini; ChatGPT is coming soon.
What it does not replace
SlipSlate is your operating record and works alongside your accounting software, point of sale and payment processor. Your accounting software stays your books: you can export QuickBooks and Xero files with accounting codes. Payments are optional and off by default; when you turn them on, they run on your own Stripe account.
Switching from spreadsheets or another system
Send us an export and a map image. We import what can be imported, list every record that needs a decision, and walk through the result with you before you go live. Target: a working map in five business days from complete data. That is a target, not a promise for every marina.
How SlipSlate compares
Questions
Does SlipSlate replace my accounting software?
No. It exports QuickBooks and Xero files with accounting codes, and your accounting software stays your books.
Do I have to use SlipSlate for payments?
No. Payments are optional and off by default. When they are on, they run on your own Stripe account, and the Stripe fee is shown for each payment.
How long does switching take?
Our target is a working map in five business days from complete data. It is a target, not a timeline we can promise for every marina.
Who is it for?
Independent marinas with seasonal and transient slips, from small single-site marinas to facilities with up to 600 slips.
